| Encouraging Academic/Industrial Interaction |
|
To expand knowledge and research, a variety of organizations encourage networking amongst public and private Life Sciences organizations and their people.
• The Research Alliance of Missouri (RAM) was created in 2003 to foster public and private collaborations to attract research funding to Missouri and speed the translation of technologies into commercial opportunities and jobs.
• The Scientific Partnership and Resource Connection is a quarterly networking event designed to build relationships between scientists and the business community to facilitate technology transfer, foster entrepreneurship and provide career opportunities for students.
• The University of Missouri-Kansas City Bloch School-Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation's Enterprise Development Laboratory provides an infrastructure that expedites the transfer and commercialization of new technologies. Multidisciplinary teams of faculty, students and experts from the community evaluate innovations and work toward the creation and management of high-growth new enterprises.
